Way to Grow

Always Reaching Higher

At Way to Grow, our proven model is extremely scalable: more funds mean we’re able to serve more families. And every donation has benefits today and well into the future. That’s because our work doesn’t just help children and families in need, it also improves our school system, our community, our future workforce and even our economy. For this reason, your donation to Way to Grow will produce an extremely strong return on investment.

My Scholar

My Scholar gives you a unique way to connect with Way to Grow families. Through this initiative, you have the opportunity to sponsor a year of a child’s education and see firsthand the benefits of your generosity as you receive updates on our Scholars’ achievements.

Your My Scholar dollars are used to enhance students’ education through home visits and parent support, parent education classes, books and school supplies, field trip opportunities and additional resources.

My Scholar donors receive:

  • Six Scholar updates throughout the year
  • A thank you letter from a My Scholar family
  • An exclusive sponsors-only invitation to attend our annual Meet the Scholars event

Volunteers Make a Difference

Volunteering with Way to Grow is a terrific way to help parents and children in your community. Our volunteer opportunities include assisting in our preschool, mentoring and tutoring our teen parents, providing administrative support or helping with our special events. We can even create a volunteer opportunity based on your interests and skills. Just fill out the form below, and we’ll contact you with available opportunities.

Family Game Nights – Individual or Group Activity

Come play games with Way to Grow families at our partner libraries and other community locations. Family Game Nights, held one Friday evening per month, encourage our parents and children to play, learn and grow together. Come learn a new game and teach reading and math concepts through play! Details: 2018 Dates and Times TBA. Location varies.

Teen Parenting Group Meetings

Volunteers can share their school/career background with the teens and support the monthly topic. Please contact us for more information. Details: 3rd Thursday of each month, 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Preschool Parent/Child Class

Join our Preschool P.A.L.S. and their parents in our innovative, bi-monthly parent/child class. Family Engagement Night encourages parents and children to play, learn, and grow together. Both are great opportunities for groups to come together to help our families be successful in school and life. Availability is dependent on our current needs. While we would love to have you, opportunities may not always be available. Please contact us to find out how you might be able to help! Dates: Customized based on individual/group preference.
