Our Guest Speaker:

Greg Coleman

Greg Coleman is a local legend: after a successful career as the first African American punter in the NFL, Coleman spent 21 years as the Sideline Analyst for the Minnesota Vikings Radio Network. Coleman recently retired at the end of the 2021 NFL season, and was inducted into the Black College Football Hall of Fame. He also spent 24 years as a C-level Executive at an international communications company in their public safety market.

Greg Coleman is an inspirational speaker, gifted storyteller and transformational expert. He has spoken across the country to a diverse group of corporations, community organizations and associations, as well as faith-based institutions.

Coleman understands that communication is the number one ingredient in building a formidable team: we’re honored to have him speak at our 2022 Shine celebration!

Our Host:

Megan Newquist

Megan is the morning news anchor at KSTP-5 Eyewitness News and host of Morning Lifestyle Show Minnesota Live. In her 20 plus years in the business, she’s won multiple Emmy Awards for breaking news and her exclusive reporting.

Your Impact:

Funds from this year’s event will support Way to Grow’s signature home visiting program, Great by Eight, reaching families prenatal through grade three in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. Our Family Educators are working with caregivers and children to address each family’s resource needs, while providing parent education and support, early childhood and health education, and additional in-depth tutoring support for our elementary students which is especially important after a disrupted school year.
