March is National Reading Month and we want to help you celebrate!

This month is a great time to mix up your routine and find new ways to make reading part of your family’s daily life! Small, simple activities can help keep kids engaged, encourage curiosity, and make reading feel like something to look forward to. From quick outings to creative at-home ideas, there are plenty of approachable ways to celebrate with your family and spark a joy for reading.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

1. Visit your local library
2. Read a book by a Minnesota author
3. Investigate a Little Free Library in your neighborhood
4. Write a story together as a family
5. Read a book to your favorite four-legged friend
6. Make a new bookmark for a friend
7. Swap favorite books with a neighbor
8. Create a cozy reading corner in your home
