July Highlights: Way to Grow Community Updates

Way to Grow community updates this month celebrate generosity, growth, and connection. From neighborhood partnerships to classroom milestones, July reminded us that the small moments often carry the greatest meaning.

Big Hill Books: A Storytelling Partnership

On July 15, Way to Grow joined Big Hill Books for their second anniversary celebration and left inspired by our neighbors. In just two hours, bookstore patrons donated fifteen $20 Big Hill Books gift cards to support Way to Grow families. These funds will help build home libraries and encourage school readiness in the year ahead.

Even better, the partnership will continue through the summer. By working with a local business that shares our belief in books, belonging, and community, we’re able to expand our reach and deepen our impact.

Dresses From Ella: A Shared Legacy

Earlier this month, our team received a second delivery from Dresses From Ella, thanks to the Tushie family and generous community members! Many were moved to act after seeing Ella’s story on FOX 9.

As a result, these donations bring color, pride, and joy to children and families in our programs. Each dress is more than a gift—it’s a reminder that Ella’s legacy continues through love and community generosity. We’re honored to share these dresses with our families.

Celebrating Staff: Olivia and Ramona

Meanwhile, promotions and new beginnings marked July for our preschool team!

Olivia stepped into her new role as Lead Preschool Teacher after completing coursework for her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and Ramona joined the team as a Lead Preschool Teacher, bringing terrific experience, joy, and a deep belief in family partnership.

Together, they represent what makes our early learning model thrive: strong relationships, deep trust, and a passion for helping every child succeed.
