Way to Grow knows that children learn best when they have the tools they need to succeed. This August and September, Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) turned that belief into action through a remarkable school supply drive that reached children and families across the Twin Cities.
Thousands of School Supplies, One Powerful Mission
Throughout August and early September, Twin Cities Orthopedics locations across the metro collected thousands of essential school supplies for Way to Grow families. Team members rallied together to gather backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pencils, folders, and much more to ensure students would start the new school year prepared, confident, and excited to learn.
This community partnership creates impact that extends beyond the supplies themselves. When children open their backpacks to find fresh notebooks and sharpened pencils, they feel excited, supported, and ready to take on new challenges. Meanwhile, parents know their community cares about their child’s education.
Why School Supply Drives Matter
Basic school supplies affect a child’s ability to participate fully in the classroom. As a result, students who have the materials they need show more engagement, confidence, and readiness to learn. For families facing financial challenges, a backpack filled with supplies removes one more barrier between their child and success.
At Way to Grow, we walk alongside families from pregnancy through third grade. We offer support that ranges from early literacy tools to school readiness resources. Furthermore, community partnerships like the one with TCO strengthen our ability to meet families where they are and ensure every child enters school ready to thrive.
