Three Cheers for the Minnesota Twins!
Way to Grow celebrates the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund for creating joyful, confidence-building memories with our families this summer.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the chance to join the Twins for not one, but two unforgettable events at Target Field—each one a reminder of what community partnership can do.
Create A Memory, Build a Moment
The “Create A Memory” event truly lived up to its name. Families enjoyed wiffleball, radar toss, and behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark. Some of our Way to Grow participants even got to throw out the first pitches – a moment they’ll never forget. These experiences aren’t just fun; they give children a chance to explore, take risks, and see themselves in new ways. That matters. When kids feel included, they feel a sense of belonging on the field and in the wider world.

Game Day Fun and Family Connection
Just a few weeks later, families returned to Target Field for a sunny afternoon of baseball, face painting, and celebration through the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. After cheering on the home team, kids were invited to run the bases just like the pros. The joy was contagious.

Why These Moments Matter
These kinds of moments go beyond entertainment. They strengthen the bonds between parents and children, introduce families to new spaces in their community, and offer positive memories that last long after the last inning.
Way to Grow knows that building strong, healthy families takes more than early learning support. It takes connection, belonging, and joy. We’re proud to partner with organizations like the Minnesota Twins, the Create A Memory Foundation, and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, who understand that investing in families means investing in experiences, too.
Thank you to the Twins, the Community Fund, and the Create A Memory Foundation for reminding us all what it feels like to win, together.
