Strong communities are built through partnership and care. This fall and winter, iHealth and Revo Health demonstrated both. They showed up for Twin Cities families through two meaningful drives that addressed real needs.

Keeping Families Warm: The Revo Health Coat Drive

As temperatures dropped across Minnesota, Revo Health rallied to collect winter coats, hats, scarves, and gloves for Way to Grow families. Their team knows that staying warm is not a luxury. Rather, it is essential for children to get to school, families to access healthcare appointments, and parents to work. Revo Health shared:

“Revo Health is proud to support Way to Grow through our recent coat drive. Our team came together to collect and donate winter clothing to help keep families in our community warm this season. Thank you to Way to Grow for the incredible work you do to empower and uplift families—we’re honored to partner with you in making a positive impact.”

This generosity reflects Revo Health’s commitment to health equity and community wellness. When families have what they need to stay safe and warm, children can focus on learning. At the same time, parents can focus on building stability.

Welcoming New Life: The iHealth & Revo Health Baby Shower

In October, iHealth and Revo Health hosted a baby shower drive during their managers meeting at Mall of America. Leadership came together to collect diapers, wipes, baby clothes, bottles, blankets, and other essentials. These items went directly to new and expecting parents in Way to Grow’s program.

These items were distributed at our December community baby shower and continue to support families welcoming babies throughout the year. For many families, preparing for a new baby comes with financial stress. We see it every day — community support helps parents welcome their children with dignity and less worry.

Research from the Harvard Center on the Developing Child shows that when families have access to basic necessities, parents experience less stress and can focus more energy on bonding and responding to their baby’s needs. This early support strengthens child development and family well-being.

A Night of Connection and Care

Way to Grow and Sabathani Community Center welcomed expectant parents to a Community Baby Shower filled with connection, information, and support.

Dr. Mary Anne Jacob from Almara Women’s Health shared guidance on maternal wellness and self-care, practical considerations leading up to and through delivery, and reminded families that their health matters too. Diceyiana Tejeda from Sabathani, led a gentle chair and breathing flow, offering everyone in the room a moment to connect with their breath. Parents left with resources, gifts, and trusted connections to help navigate pregnancy and beyond.

Thank you to our partners at Sabathani Community Center, especially Rebekah Floyd and her team, who worked alongside our Program Director Ronel Robinson to create a welcoming evening. Thank you also to iHealth and Revo Health for supporting this event!
