Way to Grow knows strong community partnerships create real impact for families. When organizations show up with purpose, small acts of generosity can spark meaningful change. That is exactly what happened when Revo Health hosted a winter clothing drive for Way to Grow families.

A Drive That Brought Real Warmth

This fall, the Revo Health team rallied to gather winter essentials for children and families across the Twin Cities. They collected coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other cold-weather items families needed as temperatures begin to drop.

Their efforts went beyond donating things. They showed up for neighbors. Team members gave new winter gear for children from newborns to eight years old and invited friends and family to join the effort. Because of this shared commitment, dozens of families will receive winter gear through their Family Educators so children can walk to school comfortably and play outside safely all winter long.

Why Winter Clothing Matters

Winter brings added pressure for families working hard to cover basic needs. Children outgrow coats quickly. Snow pants, boots, and warm layers add unexpected costs to an already tight season given added utilities and other costs.

Receiving winter clothing makes a real difference. It means children stay comfortable outdoors, parents are less worried, and families know their community cares. These practical items create breathing room and allow families to focus on learning, growing, and spending time together.

According to Feeding America, many families face difficult choices during winter months between paying heating bills and covering other essentials. Community support from dedicated partners like Revo Health provides helps ease these pressures. When a parent does not have to choose between paying the heating bill and buying boots, stress eases and stability grows.

Get Involved Like Revo Health

Revo Health first learned about Way to Grow when we visited their Manager Meeting in October at Mall of America. Hearing about our mission and the families we serve sparked something in their team. The day inspired them to collect winter essentials for families, and their effort brought real warmth to dozens of Minneapolis children.

Inspired by Revo Health’s example? You can make a similar impact through Way to Grow’s Neighbors Who Care initiative!

Right now, we are collecting winter essentials through our Winter Drive, running through December 12. Families need warm coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, and boots to help children stay comfortable during Minnesota’s coldest months.
